Mahama Shares Details Of How Bawumia Woke Him Up To Congratulate Him On His Election Victory

President John Dramani Mahama has shared details of his interactions with former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia after the recent general elections.
During his fellowship with clergy in Kumasi on Sunday, March 2, President Mahama revealed that he never expected the election results to turn out in his favour as they did.
He had anticipated that it would take at least three days for the official results to be announced.
Surprise
To his surprise, the day after the election, he was awakened to a call that his brother, the NPP presidential candidate, Dr Bawumia wanted to speak with him.
Mahama was astonished when Bawumia congratulated him and expressed his desire to meet with the press to concede that he had lost.
Immorality
Additionally, President Mahama addressed the growing concerns over immorality and crime in Ghana, despite the fact that 90% of the population identifies as people of faith. He suggested that the absence of the church could lead to an even worse situation.
“There’s a commonly mentioned argument that even with over 90% of Ghanaians professing faith, immorality and crime are on the rise. My response is that the situation would likely be much worse if there were no church,” he stated.
