Justin Kodua Frimpong leads NPP General Secretary race – Global Info Analytics

Incumbent General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, is leading the race to retain his position, according to a new poll released by Global Info Analytics on August 21, 2025.

The poll shows Frimpong with 44% support among delegates—well ahead of his competitors. His closest rivals trail by wide margins: Dr. Charles Dwamena polled 2%, Sylvester Tetteh 3%, Eugene Antwi 4%, Isaac Asiamah 3%, and Henry Kokofu 6%. Another 2% said they preferred someone else.

A notable 36% of delegates remain undecided.

The survey sampled 2,656 NPP delegates, with 2,560 completing all questions. It covered 263 out of the 276 constituencies, using random probability sampling through Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI). The poll has a 99% confidence level and a margin of error of ±2.44%.

With a clear lead but a large portion of delegates still undecided, the race remains open, though Frimpong appears to have a strong edge heading into the party’s internal elections.
