I Will Fully Support Bawumia If He Decides To Contest In 2028 – NAPO

Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has indicated his readiness to fully support Dr Mahamudu Bawumia if he decides to run for president again in 2028.

According to him, Dr Bawumia who lost the just-ended elections to John Mahama, is capable of leading the NPP back to power and will therefore give him all the necessary support if he chooses to stage a comeback.

Dr Prempeh, popularly called Napo, who was the running mate to Dr Bawumia in the elections, said these when he spoke to journalists in Parliament.

Defeat not strange
Answering another question on the defeat of Vice President Bawumia in the elections, Napo said historically, it was not strange. Explaining, he stated that, Kufuor, Mills, Mahama and Nana Akufo-Addo, all did not make it in their first attempt at the presidency.

NDC promises
Making reference to the many electoral promises made by the NDC, the former vice presidential candidate said, “Ghanaians are looking forward to the fulfillment of the promises”. “We are looking forward to 5 Cedis to a dollar from 7th January, kenkey selling at 1 cedi, a litre of petrol selling at 7 cedis,” he stated.
