I Consider Torgbui Sri As My Father, I Welcome His Wise Counsel — Napo
Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has welcomed the pieces of advice given him by the Awoamefia of the Anlo State, Torgbui Sri III.
“I have always considered him as a father and I trust his wise counsel and perspectives on various issues,” he stated.
Dr. Prempeh, popularly known as Napo stated this after he paid a courtesy call on the Awoamefia at his palace in Anloga on Wednesday, May 7.

The discussions at the meeting centered on the enduring partnership between the government and traditional leadership in the country, reflecting a shared commitment to inclusivity, dialogue and development.

The Manhyia South legislator expressed confidence in Ghana’s future. “I have enormous confidence in Ghana’s future, where the political class and traditional authorities work together harmoniously for the advancement of the growth and prosperity of the people,” he said.

Dr. Prempeh is widely tipped to be chosen as the running mate of NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
A grandson of the late Asantehene Otumfuo Sir Osei Agyeman Prempeh II, Napo, is well versed in matters of tradition and culture, which he has excellently projected to successfully drive his political career.
