Ghana Education Service Launches 2025 Teacher and Officer Promotion Application Process
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has opened applications for teachers and officers seeking promotion to higher professional ranks.
In a statement issued by the Acting Deputy Director-General (MS), Prof. Smile Dzisi, GES invited suitably qualified staff to apply for promotion to the ranks of Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II, and Principal Superintendent.
Eligibility requires applicants to have been promoted to their current rank in or before 2020 and to have served continuously since, excluding approved leave of absence.
The application window will be open from Monday, 18 August, to Friday, 5 September 2025.
For teachers seeking promotion with Master’s or PhD qualifications, GES emphasised that the programmes must be on its approved list of study and that certificates should not have been acquired before a previous promotion.
Advanced degree holders applying for ADI, ADII, and Deputy Director positions must have obtained their certificates in or before 2022.
Applications are to be completed online via the GES portal, with supporting documents, including recent passport photographs, academic certificates, and promotion letters, submitted in PDF format.
