Former President Kufuor Expresses Condolences to Mahama Over Helicopter Crash Tragedy

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has paid a visit to President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama at the Jubilee House to express his condolences and solidarity following the recent national tragedy.
The visit was described as a gesture of statesmanship and unity during a period of national mourning.
The Former President was received by Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and other government officials, who expressed gratitude for his show of support.
This visit comes in the wake of the military helicopter crash, which occurred on Wednesday, August 6, at Adansi Akrofrom in the Ashanti Region.
The crash claimed the lives of Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Muniru Mohammed, former parliamentary candidate Samuel Aboagye, and NDC Vice Chairman Samuel Sarpong.
Three military officers, Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah, also perished in the crash. The Ghana Armed Forces Z-9 helicopter went off radar before the fatal incident. There were no survivors.
