First-ever clinic at Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council inaugurated

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has inaugurated the first-ever clinic at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) to provide comprehensive healthcare services for staff and promote their overall well-being.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Amoakohene said the establishment of the clinic reflects his administration’s commitment to prioritising the health needs of workers at the Coordinating Council. He emphasised that a healthy workforce is essential for productivity and the smooth running of government business, as employees perform better when they have easy access to quality healthcare.

The newly established clinic will offer primary healthcare services, including general consultations, treatment of minor illnesses, regular medical checkups, and health education for staff. The initiative is aimed at reducing absenteeism, boosting efficiency, and creating a supportive working environment where employees can perform at their best.

Dr. Amoakohene further assured that his administration will continue to roll out policies and initiatives that improve staff welfare and contribute to building a healthier, more effective workforce. He urged employees to make full use of the facility and prioritise their health as part of the broader regional development agenda.

“We have gathered here this morning in a ceremonial manner to open the clinic first of its kind for the ARCC. When I assumed office as Regional Minister and interacted with staff and also reviewed previous incidents, among others, it became evident that the health needs of the staff of the ARCC need to be one of our priorities because in the past issues have happened that where we didn’t have the luxury to transport the staff to the hospital before the untold happened. We realised that the workload of the ARCC and the demand on the staff here required that their health needs also be taken care of,” Dr. Amoakohene explained.
