Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is fully confident that the Electoral Commission (EC) will declare him winner of the presidential election by midnight of December 7, 2024.
Campaigning in the Volta Region, he said, the signs are clear that he is coasting to victory. “I have toured over 200 constituencies in the country and I can tell you from what I am seeing here (Volta Region) that, we have won the elections.
“By midnight on December 7, I’ll be declared the winner,” he stated.
NDC losing
Dr Bawumia indicated that, the NDC as a party knows that it is losing the elections. “You can see the NDC, they are losing this elections because we have six weeks to elections but today after being a Minority for eight years, they want to be a Majority for six weeks,” he teased.
“John Mahama cancelled teacher and nursing trainees’ allowances, he collapsed the National Health Insurance Scheme, his scorecard was dumsor. This is the man who wants to come back, no way,” he said to rapturous cheers from the youth.
Agriculture
Addressing various events in the Ketu North, Ketu South, Akatsi South and Central Tongu Constituencies, Dr Bawumia indicated that in the NPP Manifesto, a major focus of a Bawumia Presidency will be agriculture, justified by data which indicates about 60% of Ghanaians are engaged in that vital endeavour.
“Apart from establishing District Agric Mechanization Centres across the country, we will also facilitate the setting up of area-appropriate factories to add value and reduce post-harvest losses arising from a glut in production,” he told the people .
