ECOWAS formally announce withdrawal of Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger effective today

ECOWAS has confirmed the withdrawal of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger from the regional block effective today, Wednesday January 29, 2025.

In a press statement , ECOWAS outlined certain arrangements, which all member states are bound to follow, following the withdrawal of the three countries.
