Dzata Cement takes action against fake bags following emergence of deceptive video

Dzata Cement has distanced itself from a recent viral video suggesting its products are of inferior quality.

In a statement, the company said that the suspected fraudsters tampered with its packaging to resell fake cement.

It added that, criminals have been opening genuine Dzata Cement bags, replacing the contents with substandard cement and resealing them for resale.

With law enforcement support, the culprits have already been arrested and investigations are underway.

Dzata Cement stressed that its production quality remains uncompromised.

“We want to assure our customers and partners that, Dzata Cement’s production quality remains unchanged. Every bag we manufacture undergoes strict quality control at our factory. The problem is criminal tampering, not Dzata’s product quality.”

In a bid to protect customers, Dzata Cement is urging buyers to purchase only from authorised distributors and report suspicious or tampered bags via its hotline.

“Together with industry stakeholders, we remain committed to delivering the highest-quality cement, proudly made in Ghana, while fighting against fraud that hurts customers and the industry at large”, the statement concluded.
