Deborah Adablah Sentenced to 45 Days in Prison for Contempt in ‘Side Chick’ Case

The Accra High Court has sentenced Deborah Seyram Adablah, former NSS person who sued her alleged ‘sugar daddy’ for breach of promise, to 45 days in jail after finding her guilty of contempt.
The ruling comes amid a high-profile legal battle involving Adablah and former First Atlantic Bank executive Ernest Kwesi Nimako.
Adablah, who gained public attention in 2023 after suing Nimako for breach of promise, was cited for contempt following her recent social media outbursts against the judiciary.
Reports indicate that she defied a court order and made disparaging remarks about the presiding judge, Justice John Bosco Nabarese, accusing him of bias and unprofessional conduct.
In videos shared online, Adablah openly criticised the court’s handling of her case, questioning the integrity of Ghana’s judiciary and warning the judge to be fair in his rulings. Her comments, which were played in open court, influenced the judge’s decision to issue a bench warrant for her arrest.
