Continue to be dead goat – NAPO fires Mahama
The Running Mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has advised former President John Mahama to continue to be a dead goat.
According to Dr Opoku Prempeh, a.k.a, Napo, since the inception of life, no dead goat has ever come back to life.
Therefore, he called on Ghanaians to vote aganist Mahama so he can remain in his dead goat syndrome.
Utterances
Interacting with NPP supporters at Juaso in the Ashanti Region, Napo maintained that the utterances of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer makes it clear that he does not have the progress of Ghana at heart.
He cited the former President’s cancellation of nursing and teacher trainee allowances and also telling Ghanaians to stop charging their mobile phones excessively if they want a stable electricity, as examples of his disrespect for Ghanaians.
Background
It would be recalled that the ex-President in 2015 told Ghanaians that he has become used to threats of strikes and demonstrations in Ghana and will not yield to any of such threats leading to 2016 electioneering year.
Adopting what he calls a “dead-goat syndrome”, the former President said he would not be perturbed by such strategies employed by workers.
However, he later clarified that he used the idiomatic expression due to the frustration associated with the deregulation of petroleum prices.
Mr Mahama said he could not bear the mass labour unrests prevailing at the time. But Napo insisted that, nothing about Mr Mahama has changed for Ghanaians to vote for him.
