Bryan Acheampong’s team rejects Global InfoAnalytics survey, labeling it a ‘psychological tactic’

Pius Enam Hadzide, aide to Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has downplayed the impact of the new Global Info Analytics poll that places former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia well ahead in the race to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the 2028 general elections.

Global Info Analytics released its latest poll on Thursday, August 21, showing Dr. Bawumia with a commanding 52% support among NPP delegates. Kennedy Agyapong followed with 17%, while Dr. Bryan Acheampong secured 3%, placing third. The poll was conducted between August 12 and 20, surveying 2,656 NPP delegates nationwide.

Speaking to the poll in an interview on Citi Eyewitness News on Friday, August 22, he questioned the credibility of some political polls, suggesting they can serve as “psychological operations” sponsored by opponents to shape public perception.

“I don’t know about it, but many of these researches are a psychological operation sometimes sponsored by politicians who seek to deceive unsuspecting audiences and to create a misleading impression,” Hadzide stated.

However, he added that the Bryan Acheampong campaign treats all polls as valuable feedback. “Our attitude at the Bryan Acheampong campaign is that all research, wherever they are coming from, we take it as feedback… and if there are any gaps, we work on those,” he said.

Despite the poll results, Hadzide expressed optimism about Dr. Acheampong’s performance, noting that it is his first time contesting for the NPP flagbearer slot and that he joined the race later than others.

“We are very confident that Dr. Bryan Acheampong is not only the fastest growing contender in this race — published research has also confirmed this,” Hadzide insisted.
