Bawumia Storms Mahama’s Home Region
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia took the Phase 2 of his possibilities tour to the Savannah Region yesterday.
The NPP flagbearer’s presence in the home region of his main opponent in the December 7 elections, John Dramani Mahama, shook the foundations of the NDC, as he seeks to take over the five regions of the north.
The campaign resumed after a four-day break to undertake some official duties in Accra.
Engagements
Yesterday, Dr Bawumia hit the ground with a visit to Sawla-Tuna-Kalaba and later to Daboya.
Thousands of people poured out to welcome the NPP flagbearer.
Dr Bawumia paid courtesy call on Sawlawura. He also addressed the community connect at Daboya.
Expectations
The NPP seeks to take over northern parts of the country in this year’s elections. The flagbearer who hails from the north, is leading a major charge in the campaign to sweep the votes in the area.
