Bawumia Needs No Honeymoon – NAPO Tackles Mahama
New Patriotic Party ( NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will move straight to work without the need for a honeymoon when he wins the elections, his running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has said.
Napo, as the running mate is well known, stated this in reference to a statement made by Mr Mahama urging Ghanaians, particularly trade and labour unions, to grant him a grace period if he regains power.
But, Dr Opoku Prempeh said the nation has no time for a leader who thinks like Mahama.
He was speaking at the NPP Techiman South campaign launch and inauguration of their new party office last week.
Every vote
Dr Opoku Prempeh reiterated the NPP’s determination to work hard for every single Ghanaian vote, with an eye on victory in December for Bawumia.
He appealed to the gathering to also retain the Techiman South NPP MP, Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah.
Intensive campaigning
It was a busy week for the NPP running mate as he traversed the length and breath of the Bono East constituency. From Fiema to Yefri and other communities in the Nkoranza North Constituency, he appealed to chiefs and opinion leaders to support Dr Bawumia and the parliamentary candidate, Jacqueline Boatemaa Bonsu in the upcoming elections.
Napo intimated that the NPP is committed to implementing innovative policies that positively impact the Ghanaian people. He indicated that the party will continue to remind Ghanaians about the clear distinction between their record and that of the NDC.
