The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has commended KGL Group for sponsoring the second edition of the Democracy Cup.

City rivals Accra Hearts of Oak and Accra Great Olympics will compete for the cup on Friday, August 29, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

During the official launch of the KGL Democracy Cup in Accra, Speaker Bagbin highlighted that KGL Group’s sponsorship reflects the numerous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives carried out by the KGL Foundation.

He emphasized that this second edition of the Democracy Cup is expected to have an even greater impact, thanks to the full financial support from KGL Group and its Executive Chairman, Alex Dadey.

Corporate social responsibility

Speaker Bagbin stated, “The sponsorship by KGL Group of the Democracy Cup is a significant demonstration of the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, which goes beyond traditional charity to encompass economic, social, environmental, health, education, and youth development initiatives.”

He encouraged other corporate entities to emulate the leadership displayed by KGL Group in partnering with state institutions to accelerate national development, promote peace and unity, and drive socio-economic transformation in Ghana.

Commitment
