Asanteman Council to meet on 6 Stool affairs in Ashanti, Ahafo and Bono Regions
Six stool affairs in three regions of the country will be up for redress on Monday, August 19, 2024 when the Asanteman Council meets for the first time since Otumfuo Osei Tutu II returned from his latest trip to the United Kingdom.
The matters involve Denyase, Kwamang and Sabronum in the Ashanti Region, Berekum and Awua Dumase in the Bono Region, and Duayaw Nkwanta in the Ahafo Region.
A notice of the meeting sighted by The Thunder said Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will preside over the meeting.
Disputes
Meanwhile, at the Kumasi Traditional Council meeting on Thursday, August 15, 2024 Otumfuo decried attempts by some Divisions of the Kumasi Traditional Council to bury some cases in which they have personal interest.
He said that has contributed to the delay in resolving some chieftaincy disputes in Asanteman. The Asantehene said some of the chiefs take money from feuding factions, and warned that he would not countenance such acts when they come to his notice.
