Asantehene celebrates 1st Akwasidae of the year

His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, has celebrated the first Akwasidae of 2024 at the Manhyia Palace on January 7.

Hundreds of people from Ghana and other parts of the world joined him for the celebration.
Among them were government officials, nananom Amanhene from Asanteman, royals from the Hausa State of Kano Nigeria, and tourists from various parts of the world .

Otumfuo majestically rode in palanquin to the durbar grounds where, in all his glamour, sat in state to receive greetings.
