Asaase Radio Now In Kumasi On 98.5MHz
Asaase Broadcasting Company Limited, parent company of Asaase Radio, 99.5 MHz in the Greater Accra Region, has commenced broadcasting in the garden city, Kumasi on 98.5 MHz Monday 14 June 2021.
This comes exactly one year after the company hit the airwaves in the nation’s capital city, Accra.
The Kumasi station, 98.5MHz, is located at Ahodwo roundabout, sonar centre, plot 25 A, Melcom road. With the coming on board of the new station, Asaase Radio having established its presence in the country’s media landscape is poised to take the Kumasi media space by storm.
As part of the one-year celebration of Asaase Radio, Accra and the opening of Asaase Radio, Kumasi (98.5), the station in Accra pitched its tents in Kumasi where all its flagship programmes such as (ABS, Ten2One, Between Hours, etc) are airing.
Performing the official opening ceremony, the General Overseer of the Gracefields Chapel, Kumasi, Rev. Simon Ampofo, invoked the blessings of God on the station declaring that with the name Asaase, the station has come to stay and it will possess the land.
Nana Poku Agyeman, the chief executive officer of Asaase Broadcasting Company Limited, on behalf of the board and management of the station registered the appreciation of the station to Rev. Simon Ampofo for assisting in the opening of Asaase Radio, Kumasi.
He added that Asaase Radio, Kumasi is ready to offer the people of the garden city thought-provoking and engaging radio content.
Dr Daniel Owusu Ansah, Senior Lecturer, Department History and Political Studies, KNUST, Dr Samuel Afriyie, Business School, Kumasi Technical University, Dr Stephen Appiah Takyi, Department of Planning, and Dr Johnson Addai Asante, Economics Department, Kumasi Technical University, joined hosts Kojo Mensah and Nana Yaa Mensah for the anniversary breakfast show and maiden edition of Asaase Breakfast Show on Asaase Radio, Kumasi.
