A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Savannah Region, Kanyiti Saburu Kantama, popularly known as Alhaji NABCO, has officially declared his intention to contest the position of Savannah Regional Communications Officer of the party.
In a statement issued on October 13, 2025, Alhaji NABCO said his decision followed widespread calls from the grassroots and consultations with key stakeholders across the region and beyond.
He described his ambition as a call to service aimed at strengthening the NPP’s communications front and positioning the Savannah Region as a stronghold of the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
“I present myself not merely as a candidate but as a dedicated servant leader, deeply committed to the principles of the Danquah-Dombo-Busia tradition,” he stated. “My aspiration is to fortify our communications front and make the Savannah Region a bastion of NPP excellence.”
Outlining his experience, Alhaji NABCO noted that he previously served as TESCON Communications Officer at the University of Education, Winneba, where he honed his skills in political messaging and youth mobilisation.
He is currently a member of the communications team in the Damongo Constituency and Savannah Region, where he has been active in shaping party messaging and countering opposition narratives.
Alhaji NABCO, a professional graphic designer and an MPhil student in Project Management and Community Development, said his professional and academic background uniquely position him to modernise the region’s communications operations.
Outlining his vision, he pledged to empower party communicators through training and capacity-building, ensure unified messaging, and strengthen ties with the media for fair and extensive coverage of the NPP’s work.
“I am ready to serve,” he declared. “Together, we can build a formidable communications engine that will deliver victory for the NPP and prosperity for the people of the Savannah Region.”
