Akufo-Addo, Bawumia Christmas messages to Ghanaians
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia have sent Christmas messages to Ghanaians wishing all a glorious season, and looking forward for an eventful year in 2024.
President Akufo-Addo
President Akufo-Addo’s message dwelt among things next year’s elections. He called on Ghanaians to ensure that the nation holds a free, fair and transparent 2024 general election. Then President Akufo-Addo indicated that it is incumbent on the Ghanaian people that the nation choses a new leader for the next four years.
“Next year is an important year in our democratic journey, we will hold on 7th December 2024 the ninth General Election in the history of the 4th Republic. Which has witnessed the longest period of stable Constitutional governance in our entire history.
“We all have a duty to conduct ourselves in such a manner that we have a free, fair and transparent election that will enable the Ghanaian people to choose in peace and serenity the person who will manage the affairs on their behalf for the next four years,” Mr. Akufo-Addo stated.
He further indicated that he believes that Ghana will come out successfully from the general election.
“I am confident yet again Ghanaians will rise to the occasion and reinforce the status of Ghana as a bastion of democracy on the Africa continent,” President Akufo-Addo stated.
Vice President Bawumia
Dr Bawumia said the birth of Jesus was the beginning of a lifetime of impact and influence from a little village called Bethlehem. “His God-assigned mission changed the world and refinished where he came from .In that light, let this season bring to our attention, the fact that timeless impact starts with the birth of a massive mission from a little place that will last generations.” “Let us celebrate this occasion responsibly and safely,” he added.
Dr Bawumia said Christmas is another season of compassion and togetherness. “I wish you the manifold blessings of Christmas. Let the joy go around, let the love go around and let the gifts and food also go around . That will everyone’s Christmas special.”
