Aflao Chiefs Support Mahama’s Vision, Donate 33 Acres for Market and Sports Facility

Two Royal families in the Aflao Traditional Area have generously donated lands to support the government’s commitment to bringing development to Ketu South municipality.
The Wotordzor family, led by Torgbui Adorku, has donated 23 acres of land at Gbugblakope, a suburb of Aflao for the construction of a morden market in the Aflao Traditional Area as promised by President Mahama when he came to Aflao during his electioneering campaign in 2024.
In a similar vein, Fiator Korpedo Amevor one of an elders in the Lente Wute community has also donated ten (10) acres of land at Lente Wute for the construction of a sports complex.
These lands are located in in electoral areas bordering Togo.
The donations will help government in fulfilling infrastructure development promises made to the people of Ketu South.
During a working visit by the Regional Minister, James Gunu to the Ketu South Municipality, he assured Togbui Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti V that all promises made by the president would be fulfilled.
“This project is critical to improving local trade and reducing the pressure on our traders who cross into Lome for goods” he said.
In his welcome address, Torgbui Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti V urged the government through the Regional Minister that the project should completed within President Mahama’s four years.
“We already have the land, the documents are ready, Aflao is ready for the big market,” he declared.
