Bawumia Garners Massive Eastern Region Endorsements Ahead of NPP Primary

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a leading presidential candidate hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has received a significant boost to his campaign following a wave of endorsements from delegates and stakeholders across the Eastern Region.

The former Vice President’s campaign tour, targeting delegates for the party’s crucial January 31, 2026 presidential primary, was marked by enthusiastic declarations of support in multiple constituencies.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Dr. Bawumia expressed profound gratitude for the groundswell of backing.

“The endorsements I continue to receive across constituencies have only solidified my faith in the strong support of party faithful, confirming what I already knew – that we are in this together!” he wrote.

Gratitude

He specifically thanked delegates in Abuakwa North, New Juaben North, and New Juaben South for “the love you demonstrated yesterday.”

The tour extended beyond these areas, with Dr. Bawumia holding engagements in the Akuapem South, Okere, and Akuapem North constituencies.

According to his post, these stops were similarly “characterised by series of endorsements of my flagbearership bid by various stakeholders of our party.”

Strategic move

The public declaration of these endorsements is seen as a strategic move to demonstrate electability and consolidate grassroots support within the party ahead of the primary.

“I am immensely grateful to you, fellow patriots, for your continuous support and the confidence you repose in me,” he concluded in his message, signaling a campaign increasingly confident in its momentum.
