NPP 2026 primaries: BoPA vows to secure 100% votes for Dr. Bawumia in North East

The Bold Patriots Alliance (BoPA) for Bawumia, a vibrant youth group, has pledged unwavering support for the former vice president.
The group aims to secure a resounding victory for Bawumia in the NPP primaries scheduled for 31 January 2026.
BoPA has set ambitious targets, aiming for 100% votes in Yagaba-Kubori, Walewale, and Nalerigu/Gambaga constituencies. For Chereponi, Bunkpurugu, and Yunyoo constituencies, they estimate a 90-95% victory.
“Percentage wise, Yagaba, we assuring Dr 100 percent, Walewale too, we are assuring Dr 100 percent, then Nalerigu/Gambaga too we are assuring Dr 100 percent. With regards to Yunyoo, Bunkprugu [and] Chereponi, currently with our data in our hands, we are estimating around 90 to 95 percent in the other three constituencies.”
The group regards Bawumia as a problem solver. “His integrity, the charisma, and then he is a problem solver, and that is the best future Ghana need for now.”
Formed after the NPP’s 2024 electoral defeat, BoPA has established branches across Ghana’s 16 regions. Their primary objective is to ensure Bawumia’s victory across all regions, leading to his win in the 2028 general elections.
In preparation for the primaries, the North East region branch of BoPA has begun canvassing votes for Bawumia in the six constituencies of the North East Region.
Yakubu Amadu, North East Regional coordinator, emphasised the group’s support for Bawumia.
“In regrouping, the group BoPA formed in order to help the party for restructuring and reorganisation…our main vision is to support Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia to win the presidential primaries subsequently for the 2028 general elections. Because he is an outstanding leader and he is a leader that has vision and we are allied with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia vision and that is why we are given him our endorsement and our support to be our flagbearer come January 2026,” he said.
The group will utilize local radio stations to spread their message and support Bawumia’s campaign.
