NITA confirms temporary outage on government email platform
The National Information Technology Agency (NITA) has announced a temporary outage on the Government of Ghana’s official email platform.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, NITA explained that its technical team had identified the source of the disruption and was working tirelessly to restore services in the shortest possible time.
The agency acknowledged the crucial role of the government email system in facilitating official communication and delivering essential public services. It further assured institutions and stakeholders that every measure was being taken to restore normal operations.
“We understand the importance of this platform in supporting government communication and public service delivery, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this disruption may cause,” the statement read.
NITA pledged to keep users informed through regular updates as the restoration process progresses. The agency also expressed gratitude to government workers and the public for their patience and cooperation during the outage.
NITA Further assured users that every effort was being made to resolve the situation promptly and promised to provide regular updates on the progress.
