Where did you get your PhD? Ayariga refuses to disclose, threatens lawsuit

Hassan Ayariga, founder and perennial presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC), has refused to disclose where he earned his doctorate degree, vowing instead to sue the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for demanding he stop using the title “Dr.”
During an interview on Good Evening Ghana with Paul Adom Otchere on Metro TV on Tuesday, Ayariga declined to name the institution that awarded his PhD, stating, “I won’t tell you. I will sue GTEC. I have three doctorates, two are honorary.”
GTEC’s directive
GTEC had earlier ordered Ayariga to cease using the title after he failed to provide proof of its legitimacy. In a statement issued on July 15, the Commission revealed it had repeatedly requested documentation clarifying whether his doctorate was earned or honorary, the awarding institution, the date of conferment, and the process involved. ”To date, the Commission has not received any response from you. This continued silence is unacceptable,” GTEC stated.
Despite the ultimatum, Ayariga remains defiant, opting for legal action rather than compliance.
