NPP refers Adwoa Safo to disciplinary committee over media comments

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a directive to its members to cease public discussions on internal party matters that create unrest and disaffection. This follows the party’s defeat in the recent elections, which has led to widespread disappointment and frustration among members.

In a statement released on March 20, 2025, NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong urged party faithful to remain calm and avoid airing grievances in the media. The directive references Article 10(7)(5) of the NPP Constitution, which mandates the coordination of party activities, and Article 3(5), which calls for the promotion and defense of the party’s reputation.

The NPP warned that any member violating this directive will be referred to the appropriate disciplinary committees at the national, regional, or constituency level. The party emphasized the importance of upholding its values and working together to rebuild a stronger future.
