Mahama To Sack Ghanaians Employed After 2024 General Elections?

It appears the John Mahama government has set in motion an exercise to sack all Ghanaians employed after the general elections on December 7, 2024.

After the elections, which Mr Mahama and the NDC won overwhelmingly, many party members have threatened that all persons employed post-election ere affiliated to the NPP and therefore must be sacked.

Circular
A circular from the Office of the President to all heads of government institutions, is requesting information of payroll. “In line with ongoing efforts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of government payroll record under the John Mahama administration, I am writing to request your assistance in providing information on staff who have been added to your institution’s payroll since Saturday, 7th December 2024,” the circular signed by Chief of Staff , Julius Debrah stated.

The heads of institutions have been asked to submit the following details of each staff member:
a. Full name
b. Designation/Job title
c. Employee Identification Number (if applicable)
d. Date of appointment
e. Date added to payroll

“The information is critical to maintaining transparency and accountability in our payroll management processes. Kindly ensure that the requested data is presented to my office not later than Friday, 31st January 2025,” the circular said.
