How NPP Retrieved 7 Stolen Parliamentary Seats From NDC
In a dramatic turn of events, the NPP has retrieved seven out of nine parliamentary seats the NDC stole in the just ended general elections.
The NDC had through violence and other foul means, compelled electoral officers to declare their candidates winners in the elections. But, the NPP went to court, which ordered the Electoral Commission (EC) to declare the results of the elections.
Seats
Nsawam Adoagyiri: Frank Annoh-Dompreh reaffirmed as the winner after flagging irregularities by the NDC.
Obuasi East: Patrick Boakye Yiadom narrowly defeated the NDC’s Samuel Aboagye, winning by a margin of just nine votes.
Tema Central: Charles Forson of the NPP emerged victorious, maintaining the party’s grip on the constituency.
Ahafo Ano North: Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh was declared the winner, further boosting the party’s parliamentary tally.
Okaikwei Central: Patrick Yaw Boamah reclaimed the seat for the NPP, overturning the earlier declaration in favour of the NDC’s Abdulai Baba Sadiq.
Ahafo Ano South West: Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah was declared the winner, adding to the NPP’s tally.
Techiman South: Incumbent MP Martin Kwaku Adjei-Mensah Korsah retained his seat, affirming the party’s dominance in the area.
