Bawumia Should Lead NPP’s Rebuilding – Miracles Aboagye

Following the defeat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections, suggestions have been made for a rebuilding process ahead of the next elections in 2028.

But, the question has arisen over who should be the anchor for the much-needed rebuilding.

Spokesman for the Bawumia 2024 election campaign Dennis Miracles Aboagye, believes that the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is best placed to lead the charge.

Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile, Miracles Aboagye indicated that Dr Bawumia has the wherewithal to lead the party to regroup and focus on rebuilding for the next elections.

Rebuilding, he explained, is key to regaining trust and recapturing the presidency. “The party is trying to rebuild. He’s [Dr. Bawumia] the leader of the party. So, that’s his job. He needs to stand up and lead us to do the rebuilding, the reflection, and then lead us into recapturing,” Aboagye explained.

Selection of running mate
On selection of running mate, he said that decision is the responsibility of the party’s flagbearer.
“Selection of a running mate is always a prerogative of the flagbearer. Maybe when you have an opportunity to sit down with him, you can ask him.”
