We can’t play lotto with Free SHS, Bawumia is best placed to protect it – Denkyira Traditional Council
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is best placed to protect the free Senior High School (SHS) policy, the Denkyira Traditional Council has stated.
Welcoming the NPP presidential candidate to Dunkwa-on-Offin on Wednesday as part of his campaign tour of the Central Region, Nana Kwame Nkrumah II, who spoke on behalf of the traditional council said, the country cannot “play lotto” with the free SHS.
“President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo brought free SHS which has brought great relief to us and our children.Today, all our children go to school for free without any financial challenges on parents,” he said.
It is against the background that the chiefs believed Vice President Bawumia is the best man who can protect the policy going forward.
Dr Bawumia campaigned in the Upper Denkyira East and West constituencies, where he was given a rousing welcome.
Bawumia is blessed
The chief described Dr Bawumia as a leader who is blessed, adding that no one can destroy the NPP running mate. “Who God blesses, no one can destroy,” he stated.
He also noted with delight, the way and manner the Vice President has conducted himself with decency in the election campaign. “We have never heard you insult or denigrate anybody during your campaign, an indication that you are a leader full of wisdom,” he added.
Rousing welcome
Dr Bawumia received rousing welcome in the various communities he visited. At various engagements, he listened to constituents explaining how his bold solutions for Ghana’s future would positively impact their lives.
From expanding opportunities for businesses, through improved welfare for persons with disabilities to reducing the cost of living, Dr Bawumia’s explained that his vision for the present and future is designed to positively impact every Ghanaian.
