Stay focused and support Bawumia to win December polls – Gabby to NAPO
Gabby Otchere-Darko, a stalwart of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has encouraged Energy Minister Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, to support the flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, to win the upcoming December elections.
The NPP officially announced NAPO as Dr Bawumia’s running mate on Thursday.
In a message of congratulations to NAPO on Saturday, Mr Otchere-Darko advised NAPO to remain focused, and supportive, and follow Dr Bawumia’s lead.
He also called on him to demonstrate empathy, uphold the party’s achievements, and promote the party’s vision.
He explained that Dr Bawumia sees NAPO as the ideal partner to assist him in winning the 2024 presidential election and fulfilling his promises to the Ghanaian people if elected.
“Congratulations, Napo! The Presidential Candidate settled on you for very obvious reasons. He believes you to be the best partner to help him as his number two to win the 2024 presidential election and to help him deliver on his promises to Ghanaians if elected.
“I have known you for years (even before our days at Danquah Institute) and aware of your strengths. Your intellectual capacity, your strong attitude to work, your generosity, your ability to deliver, your commitment to the values of Danquah and your sheer verve to fight to succeed are the tools required for the task ahead.”
“Stay focused; stay supportive, follow the leader, show empathy, defend the record, project the vision, sell the Candidate and help him energise the base, help them to believe that it is not only possible but it can be done and with them, by them and for them, it can and shall be done! Congrats!,” he stated.
