Yes, This Is Ashanti Region, NPP‘s ‘World Bank; Dr Bawumia Impressed With Huge Reception, Napo On Board

Ashanti Region once again proved its position as the NPP’s ‘World Bank’ with a mammoth reception for the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the last leg of his nationwide retail campaign.

Since the return to constitutional rule in 1992, the region has given the NPP its biggest number of votes in all elections and is bound to repeat history in this year’s elections.

Dr Bawumia, who is in the region on a three day tour said he is impressed with the huge reception given him.
The Vice President is expected to end his tour today with a visit to the Manhyia Pa lace to pay homage to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Party stalwarts
Party stalwarts joined Dr Bawumia on the campaign in the region with Assin Central MP and former flagbearer aspirant Kennedy Agyapong joining for the first time.

Also on the field with the flagbearer is the Minister of Energy and MP for Manhyia South, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

Activities
Already, Dr Bawumia has met with the Clergy, Imams and Zongo Chiefs, professional bodies, and the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs.

Privilege
The NPP flagbearer said it was a privilege and an honour meeting with all the special groups, to share with them his vision for Ghana, and also to seek their blessings and prayers, to serve the country as President, by the grace of God.

Concerns
Vice President Bawumia welcomed concerns raised as well as the encouragement, and insightful suggestions, aimed at enhancing his transformational vision and policies, for the benefit of the country and citizens.
