2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Otto Addo expected to announce Black Stars squad for Chad, Mali games this week

Black Stars coach Otto Addo is expected to announce his squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers this week.
Ghana will regroup for the Matchday 7 and 8 games of the qualifiers next month.
The four-time African champions will be hosted at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on September 4 before hosting Mali on September 8 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
After a torrid 2024, the senior national team kicked off 2025 on a positive note with a back-to-back win against Chad and Madagascar in March.
The Black Stars recorded an emphatic 5-0 win against Chad before beating the Malagasy 3-0.
With the qualifiers set to resume next month, Ghana’s technical team, led by Otto Addo, is expected to announce a strong squad for the games.
Addo has been in Europe monitoring the performance of Ghanaian players ahead of the qualifiers, with John Paintsil and Fatau Daud also monitoring the local players.
The Black Stars, who sit at the top of Group I after six games, will hope to continue their momentum ahead of the games as they aim to secure a fifth World Cup qualification.
