2024 Elections: National Chief Imam prays for Bawumia’s success
The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has offered prayers for Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, seeking Allah’s favour and victory in the upcoming December Presidential election.
During a visit to the Okaikoi Central Constituency on Wednesday, Dr. Bawumia, accompanied by the Member of Parliament for the area, Patrick Boamah, paid a courtesy call on Sheikh Sharubutu at his residence within the constituency.
Joined by the National Imam of Ahlusunnah, Sheikh Sharubutu prayed for Allah’s favour and success for Dr. Bawumia, invoking the 110th chapter of the Holy Quran.
Following the prayers, the National Chief Imam requested those present to recite the 110th Chapter of the Quran, titled “The Victory,” which speaks about victory and how to handle it when it comes.
In addition to his prayers for Dr. Bawumia, the National Chief Imam also prayed for peace in Ghana before, during, and after the election.
Dr. Bawumia was accompanied by other dignitaries, including the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Titus Glover, NPP National Chairman, Stephen Ntim, and former General Secretary and Presidential Aspirant, Kwabena Agyepong.
