20-Year-Old Killed in Stabbing Incident Sparked by Argument Over Plastic Chair

A 20-year-old man, Kwadwo Bright, has tragically lost his life after he was allegedly stabbed during a dispute over a plastic chair in Ashanti New Town, located within the Manhyia South constituency of the Ashanti Region.
The incident, which occurred on Thursday, September 4, 2025, reportedly began as a misunderstanding between the deceased and the suspect at a local snooker game center.
According to the victim’s mother, Georgina Yeboah, the initial altercation had been resolved. However, the suspect allegedly returned later and stabbed Kwadwo in the neck.
Eyewitnesses say the confrontation escalated suddenly, prompting screams that drew the attention of nearby residents. The victim’s mother, upon hearing the commotion, rushed to the scene and found her son in critical condition.
Kwadwo Bright was immediately transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The suspect is currently on the run, and police have launched an investigation into the incident. A manhunt is underway to bring the perpetrator to justice.
