The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced its decision to open nominations for its presidential primaries on Friday, May 26.<\/p>\n
The decision was taken at the party\u2019s National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Council meetings held on Monday, April 3, 2023.<\/p>\n
The nomination process will end on June 26.<\/p>\n
Flagbearer aspirants are expected to pay a non-refundable nomination fee of GH\u00a250,000.<\/p>\n
Below is the party\u2019s full statement on the nominations<\/strong><\/p>\n For Immediate Release<\/p>\n May 25, 2023<\/p>\n NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY (NPP) OPENS NOMINATIONS FOR PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n The New Patriotic Party (NPP), at its National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Council meetings held on Monday, April 3, 2023, approved the timelines for holding the party\u2019s presidential primaries as follows:<\/p>\n Opening of Nominations- Friday, May 26, 2023<\/p>\n Closing of Nominations \u2013 Saturday, June 24, 2023<\/p>\n Special Electoral College Elections (if any) \u2013 Saturday, August 26, 2023<\/p>\n National Congress \u2013 Saturday, November 4, 2023.<\/p>\n Pursuant to the National Council timelines, the Party hereby announces, the opening of nomination for the presidential primary election.
