You denigrated whole tribes but failed to apologize; Fiifi Boafo slams ‘Hypocrite’ Mahama for attacks on NAPO

Fiifi Boafo, spokesperson of NPP presidential running mate Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has slammed NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama for his unwarranted attacks on the running mate.

In the latest of his attacks, the NDC flagbearer, who was campaigning in the Volta Region accused Dr Opoku Prempeh, a.k.a. Napo of disrespecting the late former Presidents Nkrumah and Mills.

Mahama Denigrated Tribes
But, in a reaction, Fiifi Boafo dismissed Mahama’s assertion , saying the former President is a best example of what arrogance and disrespect portray. “Mahama is not the standard for decent language. This is a man who denigrated a whole tribe describing them as Sakawa, yet failed to apologize to them. Unlike him, Napo was honest enough to apologize when some people misinterpreted what he said about Kwame Nkrumah,” the spokesperson stated.

Again, the same Mahama described the people of Kumasi as ungrateful explaining that even if he uses gold to tar the roads in the city, they will still not appreciate it. “This is the same man who used the words, baloney and stupid to describe political opponents, yet he failed to apologize.”

Background
On September 9, 2020, the state-owned graphiconline published a story on a demonstration by natives of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional area against Mr Mahama for his “Akyem Sakawa Boys” comment.

The Akyem natives described the comment as ethnocentric and demanded that the former President withdraws the comments and apologise to the people of Akyem and Ghana in general.
However, he failed to apologize.
