The British Museum is one of the museums that recently handed over some of the looted Asante treasures in the 19th century to Otumfuo.

Arrangements
Otumfuo explained that, he has to leave the country earlier than expected in order to beat time for the Awukudae festival. He said from the UK, he will return to Ghana to tackle some matters before embarking on another trip to Columbia in August.

Elevation of stools
Among the issues to be handled when he returns from London are the elevation of some stools to paramountcies and settlement of some pending disputes. “From the UK, I will meet Nananom to settle pertinent issues. All Committees with issues pending before them must furnish me with their reports upon my return,” he said.
