National Chief Imam Donates GHc20,000 Towards Heal Komfo Anokye Hospital Project

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu has donated GHc20,000 in support of the Heal Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) project initiated by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The donation was made on his behalf by his spokesperson, Sheikh Armiyawo Shaibu, during the 5th Akwasidae of the year at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Sunday, June 23, 2024.

Sheikh Sharubutu could not attend the Akwasidae festival himself but sent a powerful delegation of Islamic clerics to represent him.

Good works
Delivering the National Chief Imam’s message, Sheikh Armiyawo said the 105-year-old Sheikh Sharubutu acknowledges the good works of the Asantehene.

He said the Asantehene has demonstrated good heart and wisdom, and when tensions rise, he is always available to calm down nerves.

Sheikh Armiyawo said the National Chief Imam has over the years, been following the goods works of Otumfuo. “The National Chief Imam admires your wisdom, goodwill, and good heart which goes beyond Asanteman,” he said. He mentioned the recent GHc500,000 donation the King made towards the Ga Education Fund, saying, it was a testament to the Asantehene’s good heart.
