I Will Flee Traps Set For Me By The Wicked In Ato Forson Trial – Godfred Dame

Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame says he will flee from traps set for him in the Ato Forson ambulance case trial.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, June 4, after the High Court had adjourned the case, Mr Dame went biblical with a terse statement. “All I can say is that the Lord does not delight in the pleasure of the wicked and that even though they have laid traps for me, I will flee from them and righteousness will always prevail over evil,” he said.

Date for rulings
The High Court, presided over by Justice Afia Serwaa Asare Botwe, a Court of Appeal Judge sitting as an additional High Court judge, set Thursday, June 6, 2024 to deliver rulings on multiple applications filed by the accused persons, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, and Richard Jakpa.

Applications
Lawyers of the two accused persons filed applications asking the court to order that the charges against them be dropped and also prayed the court for an order of mistrial. The court said that it would rely on the processes filed to determine the applications before it.
