I Have Scored Mahama 33-0, Promote Me To President – Bawumia

The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said his major opponent in the December 7 elections, John Dramani Mahama, comes nowhere near him in policy initiatives.

He said as Vice President, he has initiated and led 33 major policies as against nothing by Mr Mahama both as Vice President and President.

On that score, Dr Bawumia was confident that Ghanaians will promote him to President during the elections to do even more for the people and country.

Impactful
Addressing members of the United Kingdom (UK) branch of the NPP at their fundraising dinner dance organised in collaboration with the Young Executives Forum (YEF) in London on Saturday, June 22, 2024, the flagbearer said, he has been widely acclaimed as the most impactful Vice President in Ghana’s history.

“If you look at the policies I have initiated and championed in the last 8 years, you can count 33 policies. Can you think of one policy, just one policy that John Mahama has initiated? So, the score between Bawumia and Mahama is 33 for Bawumia and Zero for Mahama.”

He added.” So, when it comes to the work of a Vice President, I have passed the exams, so I should be promoted as president of the Republic of Ghana. I should be promoted, and I want you to promote me.“

Going forward , Dr Bawumia said if elected President, he will build in the people, a mindset of possibilities.

Next round of campaign
Dr Bawumia told the gathering that the 2nd round of his nationwide campaign will be in July, followed by the 3rd and finally the 4th in November. “The campaign has started in earnest. We have done a tour of the 16 regions, and we just finished with Ashanti,” he said, and commended the Ashanti regional campaign team for the massive show of support he received in the region.

No complacency
“We are not going to be complacent. We are just beginning. This first tour of the 16 regions is the first gear of the campaign. We are going to go into the second gear in July, the third and fourth gear by November, and I believe at every stage, we are going to up the anthem,” Dr Bawumia stated.
