Bawumia is not materialistic, envies no one; a leader Ghana needs — Kwabena Agyapong

Former General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, has
praised the NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, highlighting his character and integrity as the
qualities Ghana needs in a leader.

Speaking on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ morning show, Kwabena Agyapong, who was also a presidential aspirant in the NPP flagbearer primary, emphasized that Dr. Bawumia’s humility, selflessness, and dedication to service make him the ideal candidate to lead Ghana into the future. “Dr. Bawumia is a compassionate leader. His burning desire to serve the people of Ghana is incomparable,”
Agyapong stated.

He continued, “I decided to lend my support as he embarks on his campaign not because of his humility, which is already well known, but because he is not materialistic and does not envy anyone.”

Agyapong stressed the need for leaders with strong moral character, arguing that “Bawumia exemplifies the virtues of respect, unity, and a genuine love for the people of Ghana.”

He praised the Vice President for his inclusive approach during the NPP primaries, noting how Bawumia actively reached out to his fellow contenders, uniting them behind a shared vision for Ghana’s future.

“Character is a necessity in our country today. We need someone who is respectful, loves his people, and will go to the extent of uniting his presidential primary opponents. For the first time, a presidential candidate came knocking on the doors of all his contenders, uniting them to
embark on a common vision for the future of Ghana,” he said.

Kwabena Agyapong concluded by reiterating that “Dr. Bawumia stands out as the leader who can bring the much-needed transformation to Ghana, driven by a passion for service and commitment to the nation’s progress.”
