Speaking on Onua FM in Accra on Tuesday, May 14, Mr Awuku who is also the Director -General of the Ghana Lottery Authority (NLA), therefore urged all to exercise patience as the flagbearer prepare to announce the name of his running mate next month.

No delay

Explaining, he asserted that, looking at the time the flagbearer was elected, he is well within time to make the announcement of his running mate.

He cited as example, the year 2008, when then-candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, selected his running mate in August 2008 for that year’s elections in December. “We are very much within the timeline. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was elected barely six months ago, so we still have time. If you recall, his nomination in 2008 was done somewhere in August.
