Bawumia embarks on pilgrimage to Mecca

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2024 general election, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has embarked on a pilgrimage to Mecca, the holiest city in Islam.

According to Dr. Bawumia, the visit is a gesture of gratitude to Allah and an opportunity to pray for protection and guidance for Ghana.

Dr. Bawumia was accompanied by his wife, Samira Bawumia, former Minister of Finance Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, former Minister for Youth and Sports Mustapha Ussif, and Member of Parliament for Tolon, Habib Iddrisu.

Muslims around the world perform the pilgrimage as a demonstration of their faith and obedience to Allah.
