Asante Kotoko presents FA Cup trophy to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II

Asante Kotoko has presented the 2024/25 FA Cup trophy to the life patron of the club, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The Pocupine Warriors were crowned champions after a hard-fought 2-1 win against lower-tier side, Golden Kick FC, on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Kwame Opoku put the Reds ahead in the early minutes of the game, but Golden Kick equalised through Bless Ege with a brilliant free kick to end the first half 1-1.
However, the game was sent into chaos after Kotoko were awarded a late penalty. Opoku then stepped up to convert the spot kick to seal the win for Karim Zito’s side as they lifted their 10th FA Cup title.
Having arrived in Kumasi on Monday, June 16, the team, today, Wednesday, June 18, presented the trophy to Otumfuo.
The Kotoko delegation was led by Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah, who is the Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC), Kwesi Appiah and Malik Jabir, who is the technical director of the club.
Otumfuo praised the team for the hard-fought win and charged them to perform well in Africa next season.
