Allah Will Make Your Dreams Come True – Muslim Chiefs Honour Bawumia
The Eid Planning Committee under the auspices of the National Chief Imam and the National Council of Zongo Chiefs has presented a citation of honour and appreciation to the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
The presentation took place at the national Eid-ul-Adha prayers at the Black Stars Square, in Accra, on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Key among the contents of the citation is the prayer of the Muslim fraternity that the dreams of Dr Bawumia come true.
Citation
The citation read in part: “ We members of the Eid Planning Committee really appreciate our able Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2nd gentlemen of the Republic of Ghana and the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party ( NPP) for your generosity and full commitment to the service of Islam and Ghana. Since you assumed office as the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Eid organization has become a colorful thing.
“Dr, you are a captain of a ship in bringing the capabilities of the Ghanaian youth to bear especially your initiatives in championing the course of unity, respect and innovations in the youth who are the leaders of the unborn generation.
“Your tireless effort has put the youth, especially the Zongo youth on a very high pedestal in Ghana today which is praiseworthy. We thank you and really admire you. May your dreams come true. We are of the firm conviction that Allah will reward you in his own ways.”
Appreciation
Dr Bawumia, who, together with his wife, Samira Bawumia, joined the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu and fellow Muslims, for the Eid prayers, thanked the National Chief Imam for his kind words and the citation of honour.
