After Unanimous Endorsement: NAPO vows full support for Bawumia to break the 8; Preaches party unity, Outdooring in Kumasi July 9

Presidential running mate for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) in the December 7 elections, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has pledged his full commitment to supporting Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to break the 8-year election cycle.

“As I assume the role of running mate alongside my esteemed boss, H.E. Dr Bawumia, l am committed to supporting him to prosecute a formidable 2024 campaign to break the 8-year election cycle and serve our beloved country diligently,” he stated.

Speaking after his endorsement by the National Council of the party on Thursday, July 4, Dr Opoku Prempeh, a.k.a. Napo thanked Dr Bawumia for the confidence reposed in him, saying he would work hard with the flagbearer to realise his visionary agenda of propelling Ghana to greater heights.

Party unity
The running mate touched on the need for collective efforts, and rallied party members to join hands in seeking the mandate of Ghanaians. “I understand that the task ahead requires our collective effort, and I, therefore plead with every party member to come on board as we seek the mandate of our countrymen and women once again to serve them,“ he emphasized.

Thanks to President, National Council
He thanked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the National Council and party membersfor their unwavering support and confidence in him. “I feel ready to make everyone who believes in me proud and win over the doubters.”

The running mate will be outdoored in Kumasi on Tuesday, July 9.

God’s plan
Dr Opoku Prempeh said his nomination is part of God’s plan for his life. ”I view this nomination as part of God’s plan for my life, and I am grateful for His guidance in directing my path. I pray for His ongoing guidance as I move forward. I consider this nomination as a call to higher service, a call to sacrifice and a duty to perform,” he said.
