21 Heads of State, 3 Vice Presidents to attend Mahama’s inauguration

Twenty-one Heads of State from Africa and beyond have confirmed their participation in Tuesday’s inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.

An update on the presidential inauguration ceremony released by the Ministry of Information on Monday, January 6, also indicated that 3 Vice Presidents, 4 ministers and 26 envoys have equally confirmed their participation in the ceremony.

The statement indicated that, preparations for the inauguration were progressing steadily.

Ruto jets off to Accra
Meanwhile, official communication from Kenya says President William Ruto departed Nairobi on Monday for Accra, to attend the inauguration ceremony of Ghana’s President-elect.

The visit follows a special invitation extended by President-elect Mahama during his recent visit to Kenya on December 29, 2024.

State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed stated that President Ruto is scheduled to engage in bilateral discussions with Heads of State and Government, including Mahama during his stay in Ghana.
